About YamboRadio

About YamboRadio.com
This all got started because Mark and Dewayne were looking for a permanent home for Chariton High School football rebroadcasts and "YAMBO" is Mark's touchdown and three-point call. Over about five years, it gradually expanded to include Faith Baptist Bible College (Ankeny, IA) men's and women's basketball, interviews with Missouri Valley Conference players, NBA D-League players, and a bunch of other stuff.

Our listening audience spanned the country and the globe. We heard from extended family members of players (both Faith and CHS), families of players from opposing teams, former Chariton residents, Faith Alumni near and far, and men and women serving in the armed forces overseas who enjoy downloading and listening to the games, highlights and re-broadcasts.

This blog is mostly the home for YamboClassics. Mark posts occasional interviews and Dewayne spends most of the winter reffing high school basketball, so we don't get to it much... however...

Last fall, Mark and Dewayne (and, occasionally, Brian) were the voices for Chariton Charger Football on KIIC. Live on the internet on KIIC.2 and rebroadcast on Saturday mornings.

Who are these guys anyway??
